Back to Basics: Natural Hair

Welcome to my chair...

The natural hair craze has taken off like wildfire in the past few years.

Just recently, I was reading an article posted by the New York Times on how many of us are struggling with wearing our natural or transition hair as well as maintaining the health of our hair.

So a lot of times, out of frustration, we tend to revert to relaxing again or subjecting ourselves to other techniques that are damaging to our hair.

And let's not mention, the millions of how-to videos online that can become time consuming and, most of the times, turns us into product junkies.

And finding a natural hair salon that does just that...natural hair!!! Remains far and few.

No wonder the online d-i-y videos are receiving millions of hits daily.

What if I want a natural hair style that is creative and celebrates my outer beauty?

A natural hair stylist should be just that; one who creates styles for natural hair as well as educates on how to care for natural hair.

Yes, going natural can be a daunting task due to our busy lifestyles, but it can also be a fulfilling one with the right education and the right tools.

Think about it, our mommas use hair grease and water (lol) and our ponytails were long and gorgeous and HEALHTY.

Listen, let's get back to basics: "going natural" is a decision to improve our well-being and "Celebrate Our Beauty".
